What is it?
I'm excited to bring this service to the families of the Palouse and beyond. Emotional Freedom Techniques is a gentle process of transforming intense thoughts, body sensations, memories or limiting beliefs.
EFT is scientifically proven to reduce cortisol (stress hormones) which helps to regulate your nervous system, allowing access to the voice of your authentic self.
You innately have the answers you need to improve, shift or change your life. Tapping helps you access those answers, find emotional resolution and leaves you feeling more grounded, less triggered and ready to move forward in your life.

EFT is great for processing intense emotions, transforming life long struggles and patterners and cultivating genuine acceptance!
How does it work?
I guide you through this mind-body treatment that is both simple and safe. You will be physically tapping on specific points of the upper body that correlate to acupuncture points while "parroting" phrases that represent your primary complaint. This process allows you to energetically release stuck feelings without having to painfully relive the moment.

EFT History
In the 1970s, Dr. George Goodheart, Dr. John Diamond and Dr. Roger Callahan each discovered that verbally focusing on a problem or issue (emotional or physical) – while manually stimulating acupuncture points – could bring surprising relief in their patients – particularly with regard to fears, phobias and physical responses to stress.
In 1979 Dr. Roger Callahan created Thought Field Therapy (TFT). His focus on "tapping" would completely transform his Psychology practice, which was unheard of in therapeutic circles at that time. TFT, while effective and still widely practiced today, was involved and complex.

In the 1990's Gary Craig, one of Callahan's students, was able to synthesize it into a more simplified form – one involving fewer tapping points and far less complexity. A Stanford trained engineer and Master of NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming), Craig added key NLP concepts, and called it EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques.

Example

1) Im feeling sad and frustrated and my head is buzzing like it has bees inside it.
2)While gently tapping on the Karate Chop point I Say "Even though I feel sad and frustrated, Im a good kid anyway"
3) Even though im sad and frustrated and It feels like there are bees in my head, im trying my best, and even though Im sad because I didn't do good today, those are just my feelings and thats ok.
4) while tapping on the Hairy eye brow point say Im feeling sad
5) Super eagle Eye- Im frustrated
Lion Cry- My head is buzzing with bees
Dragon Fire-I don't feel like I did good today
Wolf's Chin-Im so frustrated and sad
Gorilla Thump-bees buzzing in my head

6) Repeat tapping through the points until you feel better, calmer, happier. its ok if it takes a few rounds.

Tapping Tips

1) Use the points you like
2) It doesnt have to be perfect
3) Say all your feelings, thoughts and worries
4) If what you have to say might be hurtful to someones feelings, tap in private or say it INSIDE your head.
5) Tapp till you feel better!

Tapping Steps

1) Identify your feelings or how your body feels.
2)While gently tapping on the Karate Chop point Say "Even though I feel ____(fill in the blank), Im a good kid anyway"
3) repeat 2 more times saying how you feel example: sad, frustrated, arm hurts, fire in my belly, or mad. And then end with Im a good kid anyway, im trying my best, or those are just my feelings and thats ok.
4) while tapping on the Hairy eye brow point say Im feeling ___
5) Tapp on each point in the list while saying all the things you are feeling.
6) Repeat tapping through the points until you feel better, calmer, happier.
